If you don’t post stuff on your blog, it looks like you’re not doing anything worth posting. I know this. You know i know this. But daaaaaammmn, i get lazy about this sorta stuff!
Either that, or I’ve got so much on my plate that talkin’ about it takes a back seat to makin’ it happen. However, my To-Do list today is gettin’ put on pause while I’m motivated to address this internet. Also, I can’t think of anything better to do while fighting an awful head cold. So! Here’s what’s been happenin’…
First off, DICK JONES!!!

Who is Dick Jones? “What is Dick Jones Industries?” is the better question. The answer is that its an ongoing collaborative effort between Nick James and Dan Bones in an effort to create work greater than the sum of its parts. Hence, “Dick Jones does Birthday Parties”, which was made for our good friend Katlyn Hershman. 11×15″ pen ‘n ink, watercolor.
Second, I’ve put my illustration work into separate Flickr albums until I get a decent gallery setup rollin’ on danbones.com.

This makes it a little easier to get to my recent work, and I’ll have these linked on the Blogroll. I’ve got a bunch of other work lined up at the moment, and a few small projects i’m kickin’ around right now.
Finally, just to bring you up to speed, since my last post, I’ve spent a week in Ohio with Victoria’s family, I’ve gotten two more sessions on my calf sleeve with Timothy Hoyer (which will get its own write up soon enough), I finished my illustration class at SVA (with Nick James), been to the Alfred Kubin Exhibit at the Neue Gallerie, the Henry Darger Exhibit at the American Folk Art Museum, got a new camera, hung out with my mom, and got laid off from work!
Alright. Time to tackle this To-Do list, and take something for this headcold.
